Heardle is a daily music guessing game that challenges players to identify a song from just a few seconds of its intro. With each incorrect or skipped guess, more of the song is revealed, up to a maximum of 16 seconds. The objective is to guess the song in as few tries as possible, with only six attempts allowed per day.

Players visit the Heardle website, where they're greeted with the day's musical challenge. The heardle game begins with a one-second snippet of a song's intro. If the player is stumped, they can opt to skip or guess, unlocking more of the song. The game continues in this manner until the player either identifies the song or exhausts their six guesses.
