About 12,000 feet up in the Garhwal Himalayas lies The Valley of Flowers. The valley is known for its pristine beauty and the hundreds of species of rare and unique flowers that bloom in it. It is one of the top treks in India, and can be done by beginners and families as well. During the blooming season that begins in July and ends by September, 300 species of wildflowers bloom in the valley. The valley is also dotted with sparkling streams, thundering waterfalls, towering mountains, distant glaciers and quaint Himalayan towns.
